We all have to Spring clean, so why not make it fun with these easy practical tips to refresh the look of your home too. Most items you may already have stored away, so let’s pull them out and celebrate Spring!
Don’t have these in your closet already? HomeGoods, Target, Pier 1 and Pottery Barn are some our favorite go-to’s for great seasonal items!
Kitchen – aside from cleaning out the fridge and tossing outdated items in your pantry let’s give it a seasonal new look.
Add new cheery curtains or a valance
Declutter those counter tops to add more visual space
Switch out the heavy tablecloth for something lighter like a runner – or woven placemats that coordinate with your curtains
Add some seasonal flowers in vase such as lilacs or hydrangeas
Living/Family Rooms – yes, vacuum, clean hardwood floors and upholstery, but add some new accent touches too.
Add lighter weight curtains for an airy feel around your windows and sliders
Declutter the coffee and end tables from odd items and old periodicals
Bedrooms – besides washing all the bedlinens and flipping the mattress, lighten up the feel of the space as well.
Add a lighter, yet cozy bedspread or quilt – or change the sheet colors for a new visual pop
Add fun accent pillows or shams
Use sheer curtains for more natural light in the room
Consider a vignette or added seating by the window area now that there is more daylight
Bathrooms – while deep cleaning the tub and tile, consider making it your seasonal spa.
Add a new color of towels and shower curtain to brighten the room
A colorful new bathmat can pull it all together
Put out some new individual hand soaps to add accent
Add a seasonal floral in a vase here as well or magnolia or lavender scented accents near the bath
